Yoga Pod in Boulder plans to give out more than 600 single-use day passes in the next 12 months as part of a new community scholarship program with three local nonprofits helping at-risk populations, according to a news release.
The “Community Give Back Scholarship Fund” will provide passes to individuals serviced by partner nonprofits that include Attention Homes, which provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness; Mother House, which provides a safe haven for pregnant women and their babies facing crisis; and, SPAN, a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children.
“Our core values include ‘create community’ and ‘do the right thing,’ and we feel so fortunate to be able to partner with these incredible organizations to bring yoga to those who can benefit most,” co-owners of Yoga Pod Gerry and Nicole Wienholt said in a statement. “This new Community Give Back Fund simply could not be possible without our generous donor.”
Yoga Pod offers more than 100 classes per week, including special offerings for trauma and pre- and post-natal yoga.
