Started in 1982, Haven Ridge began with our Mother House program, which has provided at-risk mothers and their babies with a nurturing, supportive, and empowering residential community for over 40 years. In 2020 we expanded our work to include The Lodge, a navigation shelter and transitional housing community for unhoused adult women and transgender individuals. in 2024 we partnered with Boulder Feet Forward to launch a new outreach and peer-support program that meets people where they’re at and helps them get where they need to go.
While similar programs may simply be a shelter, we give individuals the support and resources they need to walk out of our doors more prepared for success than when they came in. We enabling our residents to thrive, so their children and loved ones will too.
Haven Ridge has been a refuge for mothers and their babies for 40 years and counting.
Haven Ridge provides diapers, strollers, clothing, food, and other essential maternity and baby goods to families across our community.
Since we first opened our doors, over 1,700 pregant people, parents, children, women, and transgender individuals have benefited from the residential services at Haven Ridge.
Since opening the doors of our new emergency shelter in September 2020 The Lodge has served over 250 unique clients and kept them safe, warm, and cared for for a total of 11,000 nights of service and counting.
In the past six years 90% of our Mother House program families exited to permanent housing.
100% of our residential program clients received a tailored combination of services from therapists, addiction counselors, in-home nurses, doulas, mental health professionals, and parenting support coaches.
We housed 26 mothers, 17 babies, and 7 older children for a total of 4,015 nights of service.
100% of our residents received primary healthcare ensuring improved labor and delivery outcomes, improved infant care, and regular well-check visits.
100% of our mothers received a tailored combination of services from therapists, addiction counselors, in-home nurses, doulas, and parenting support coaches.
90% of our mothers went on to permanent housing programs, long-term transitional housing programs, and/or reunited with family.
100% of our mothers are committed to sobriety while in the Mother House program and exit surveys show that 100% of mothers who entered the program struggling with addiction feel that their time at Mother House has greatly increased their chances of remaining in recovery.
Exit surveys show that 100% of our first-time mothers believe Mother House has helped them to learn the necessary skills to care for themselves and their children upon exit.
90% of our mothers report on exit surveys that they have made lasting relationships with other mothers and members of the community who they can count on to help them as they continue their journey in permanent housing.
100% of our mothers report on exit survey that they are aware of all assistance services available to them and their children and that they know where to go to get help with assistance applications and to get questions answered about available services.
We housed 72 individuals in our reserved bed program for a total of 7,232 nights of service.
100% of our guests had a safe, warm, place to spend their days and nights.
100% of our guests were treated with dignity and honored for who they are.
100% of our guests were offered a tailored combination of services from therapists, addiction counselors, housing & employment support coaches, and case management.
32 of our clients were moved into permanent housing with the help of our community partners and our in-house staff.
100% of clients who entered the program wanting to maintain sobriety feel that their time at The Lodge helped them to achieve their goals and to recover from setbacks.
100% of our clients report that they are aware of all assistance services available to them and that they know where to go to get help with assistance applications and to get questions answered about available services.
100% of our clients had access to safe spaces 24/7.
100% of our clients were offered 3 meals a day.
100% of our clients attend weekly case management meetings, weekly employment counseling meetings, and weekly meetings with a therapist or intake counselor.

Haven Ridge runs on the support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners.
